Resource Center

The WorldViews Resource Center contains a unique storehouse of information and resource materials on a broad range of international political, social, and economic issues. All WorldViews resources are available to the public by special appointment. Please call 1-510-451-1742 to make arrangements.

Resource Center Components

Vertical files of information on more than 2500 publishers and distributors of books, periodicals, pamphlets, and other printed resources on critical issues of global concern.

Vertical files with catalogs from and information on major international distributors of films, slideshows, videotapes, audiotapes, CD-ROMs, and other audiovisual resources. (Copies of selected videos, audiotapes, and CD-ROMs are available for preview use at the WorldViews Resource Center.)

A current reference collection of books and pamphlets from and about Africa, Asia and Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean, and the Middle East. (Books and pamphlets already included in WorldViews publications--such as the Third World Resource Directory 1994-1995--are shelved in the DataCenter library. A collection of some 650 magazines, newspapers, and newsletters produced by nongovernmental organizations around the world.

An international assortment of curriculum materials and educational CD-ROMs on Third World regions and issues such as native peoples, the environment, and multiculturalism.
